Tabula Rasa

I literally wrote this in like... 30 minutes? I was using some of it as a template for my course I'm forming based on Weekly Beats, the One-Week Song Club. I was running low on time so I just went fast on it, and I really, really like it. Kinda ambient, kinda breaky.

The drums are just the right amount of crunchy and snappy. Everything is chill and downtempo, but it's like our fictional drummer just remembers it's time to hit something right before, and whacks the hell out of it. Like Nyango Star playing the after after party.

It's such a nice contrast to how floaty and pretty the main lines are.

Damn, thank you so much for such an awesome review! That really means a lot to me.

I love this - it's a little floaty but clips along and those crunchy drums are warm & comfortable. It's wild what you can accomplish when you turn off your brain and just create (and, of course, you have oodles of talent for such things)

Such a cool ambient exploration, this is awesome! Those claps are so crisp!

Also, holy damn, all of this in 30min is insane!!!

Aside from the rough right-heavy start, it's a solid foundation.
