Rime of the Ancient Spacemariner

By BOULDER D4SH on January 30, 2016 2:04 pm

This weeks WB forum theme was Deep Transmissions. Non rhythmic parts of this piece is made in Apple Logic by manipulating one NASA speech sample in Alchemy synth/sampler. No automations used just Alchemy's internal modulators.

Apple updated Alchemy last week and the new sample manipulation features are great for turning anything into space drones. This weeks theme was great excuse to dive in to that.

Awesome sound design and processing.  Definitely a deep void, post-human thing happening here. Excellent.

Ace design and echoes. Was playing The Witness as this played and it got pretty.. uh.. worrying..

That sort of tape delay flutter modulations are great. Seems like Alchemy has become a great sampler, although it's even more obvious it is under good hands smile

Great drone and atmosphere

Thanks for the comments!

Alchemy is indeed great sampler. Easy to destroy samples big_smile
