Clash of the Berserkers

Some kinda 70's prog rock space wizards chiptune thing, finished it with about 20 minutes to go! I barely managed to get my arms around this idea. It's barely there, but I think it's ok! Almost drove myself crazy with triplet grooves smile

This sounds like it came straight out of a Kirby game smile coolest leads on this!

That lead! Then the transition to chiptune dual lead?! Audible gasp!
Great stuff.

Chuck Mangione meets Final Fantasy.  The rhythm track is so great.  Really well done.

oh hell yeah, I'm in, sign me up, whatever, *let's do some adventuring*

The doubled lead and the switch to double time was fantastic! Epic chippy adventure.

This is such a cool track.  Like the I imagine two brave and noble kittens of to slay a dragon, in like an ROM hack of Sowrd and Serpent.  Super fun.

That harmony heart hell yeah!

Impressive formants on the leads. Great structure, timing shift at the halfway point was a nice touch. Fantastic work. It really sounds like you're able to connect the sounds in your head to the machine with ease!

Way to bend the M8 to your will! The lead (and its alternate) are amazing and so expressive! It absolutely sounds like something off of an obscure 70s LP, one of those brilliant album cuts where the artist knew it would never be a single and felt comfortable just going nuts. Those were always the best tracks IMO

never knew i needed cat sounding 70s kraut chiptunes.
now i want more big_smile

Thanks! It's the bare bones, maybe one day I'll go back and flesh it out!

Thanks! I'd like to revisit this in the future!

Wow that main lead sound is something else haha, super cool how voice-like it is! Sounds lovely harmonising with the counter melody too. Nice work on nailing the prog style, it has that folky wizards in space-feel that is so prominent in the genre.

After this track I'm ready to head out to slay some galactic dragons and bring their heads to Merlins intergalactic council in the castle of Doctor Wurdensmurphf. Lets go!

great! I surely get that prog vibe... makes me think of Rick Wakeman, you need the golden cape for this smile

I love this style, it's so epic in such a unique way.

Thanks! No better result than making people think I need a cape for my prog track smile

This is really dope. Love interplay of the two leads on this and how they subtly divert and come back together. is there an MTT delay between them?. That melody is so catchy smile

Thanks! No delay, just that one has that filter sweep when the note starts and the other one just comes on immediately. the second one also intentionally doesn't slide at all so it has a different feel and creates interesting interplay.

amazing catjam. i remember this from the live listening session. ultra cool leads and the call and response stuff at the end is 5/5 as well

I’m seeing this as more of a stage bgm for a fantasy themed shmup, a Cutem Up even!

thicc with rainbows and powerups. Lovely.

Yeah a shmup with a prog-rock chiptune soundtrack would be fun!

What an awesome melody! Reminds me of something, but I cannot remember exactly what it is. Might be some music by Camel?

I started with just someone I was singing and it turned into some kind of prog thing. Reminds me of some of the War of the Worlds stuff. Never heard of Camel! Let me know if you find what it reminded you of.
