Whenever the writing gets tough, I fall back to writing meta lyrics about not being able to write a song. It works for me, I think, because it takes away the pressure to make something good, and instead I focus on doing something fun.

I was trying to think of what this reminded me of and I think the influence I'm hearing is the title track of "Deadwing", particularly the heavy riffing before "Something warm and soft just passed through here". But obviously this is way different than that song haha. Fun track this week

I can appreciate meta songs very well, because nothing capture the soul of WB as well as those.

Love the "ugh" haha (both times!). The riffage in here is really heavy! Your tom fills were sick! I had to go back and listen again to that one at 0:37. The drum sounds are fantastic by the way! That snare is so crisp. Loved your guitar solo, those bends had so much attitude! I like the simple lyrics with the harsh vocals, I think it works really well together. Nice job!

Thanks much! I liked the "ugh" enough that I copy & pasted it to the end. And I finally started using a bottom mic on the snare, which accounts for the newfound crispiness. Glad you dug it!
