Ink Swirls

I would really like to explore more of this kind of process which is not really my own, making a sequence and then expanding on that as it loops. Yes, this track also has some field recordings of birds playing in the background, in case you're wondering if you're going slightly mad, you're not smile

do you do this live?  I forget.  I remember a few years ago, you did a track where you detailed the process, but I can't find that now smile

I saw an old friend today that kind of reminds me of you so it almost feels like I saw you today smile

Super chill. I really enjoyed this.

Lovely vibe to this.  Kind of playful in a way.  Reminds me a little bit of Susumu Yokota in feel.

wonderful, calming track. exactly what I needed to hear right now.

I especially love the reverb that says hello around 2:20.

Beautiful art of recording and arranging percussions into the mix. It feels so organic and 3 dimentional how you did this. Very calming ambient. superchill.

very chill. has an almost speak and spell in the forest kind of vibe smile

1:17 is awesome, and as this evolves it gets really cool- nice work!

The birds are welcome. These field recording elements, and the shaker really bring dimension and space to the track. This very low bass also grounds the track. I like the section arund 2:22 with the reverb, which opens the track even more.

I just play maybe a riff and then just edit over and over because I'm not good at playing at all. My process is mostly just producing and mixing!

I should put more reverb altogether. there's some throughout the track but I automated the send levels and at that point it's on full force. I almost always use Valhalla Vintage Verb with added distortion and eq on the track

so amazing how it evolves, doesn't feel like a loop at all, more like different turns through a labyrinth(a labyrinth outdoors where the birds like to nest big_smile), and the ending lands so sweet and satisfying at this waterfall of reverberant nostalgia over the entirety of its evolution.

this piece is gorgeous!

As some others have pointed, doesn't sound "loopy" at all (in a monotonous sense). The track evolves nicely and it's in fact very very soothing

Great work, Matteo!!!

Surely there's an Oblique Strategies card that says "when in doubt, use reverb". Surely. The Valhalla is great. I've used Freq Echo and Supermassive a bit recently. I'll have to check out Vintage Verb too.

This is beautiiful. Every sound compliments one another really well
