Boiled my bass strings this week, so naturally i wanted to do something with slap bass in it. The starting bass riff i wrote well over a decade ago for a music project that is long defunct. Always wanted to build a new song around it, i came up with the variation recently (the real fast double thump bit, an utter bastard to get right) and started thinking of things to put with it. Didn't come up with anything until today when, under pressure for ideas, i came up with the second bass riff that comes in midway through. Then i wrote the guitar part, some of which is slapped much like the bass part. Then i added a synth, but it sounded crap so i took it out. The song i took the bass riff from was called 'So Violent', i picked the title for this song because i thought it tied in nicely with the original title.
