The Hollow Mountain

By BarristerPlong on June 14, 2026 4:27 pm

Unconventional bass day. This track had a bunch of iterations and so many leads and melodies I didn't even use. It started with the minor section and it kinda all felt like nonsense till I threw in the major section after and it just tied the whole thing together nicely.
Vosim can be a bass.

Happy week 24!

Dude, this friggin ROCKS!!!! The sporadic chippy arps are so gooood!!! Definitely giving me "storming the evil wizard's tower" vibes. Hell fuckin' yes!!!!

Such a cool texture on that distorted synth.  It almost takes on a belch like quality at times, but sounds awesome while doing so.  Great energy throughout as well.

The drums instantly inject an awesome upbeat energy. That lead synth is bad ass and the supporting acid line is so infectiously good! The section at 3min is an excellent change up too. Head nods throughout! \m/

absolutely love the arp run and the way the entire mix with reverb etc bounces to the 8th(?) note tremolo or side chain. love the melody that comes in and swirls around the 3 and a half minute mark

Cool track! Like the push forward vibe with harps and "theremin" style synths.

High energy italo disco! Love the drive of the drums, intense minor arps and the swirling synths.
Vosim bass sounds absolutely mental.

Didgeridoo sounding bass would have me fighting bouncers in clubs.

i want to hear this playing SUPER LOUD in a warehouse (on top of a hollow mountain) someday
so cool! that bass is BONKERS

I found that one hypnotising. It's a vosim so it is trying to mimic human speech. It came out so funky. Thank you!

Thank you! I loved the major change up. It really added the final touch.

Thank you! The reverb and delay are ducking the kick giving it a big pump.

Thanks! A theremin like synth is just my go to now, it's so expressive and has a vocal like feel to it.

Italo disco! I knew there was a term for what I made and yeah, that fits it. Thank you! heart

'It's not my fault your honor, they shouldn't have made the beats so sick.'

Hell yeah. That bass in a huge reverberant space would be so disorienting in the best way.
