Moments of Respite

I really like this chord progression and have been playing with it a bit. It's soft and melacholic, a remembrance of warm summer days and the people that filled them. This instrumentation I wanted to be evocative of the safe spaces between fear, something akin to the save rooms in Silent Hill or Resident Evil.

Love the distortion and slight detune! Feels appropriately hazy and distant for a save room from a scary game, but with a more uplifting chord prog, and that wailing pad in the second half fills the space in a really cool way. Nice work BarristerPlong!

Luvin this already, sounds like a cozy mug of coffee on a snowy afternoon. With the grinds at the bottom (complimentary).

Double-commenting to talk about that synth that comes in around the midpoint. God dang, plongsta, you finna make a grown man cry.

This really hits you in the feels. Love it, great work ❤️

It's interesting because I certainly get a sense of ominousness from this, but it does feel like we're keeping it at bay.  Like the danger is out there, but for now, at least we can take a breath.  Sort of the calm before the storm or the eye of the hurricane.

oh yeah, i love that save room "take a breather" aesthetic - this is great

I like the sense of rest that comes with this space. The rubber synth in the middle is interesting and adds another accent, with some instability which provide more character to it. Nice track!

"i've been having these weird thoughts lately, like, is any of this for real or not" ass track
killer stuff!

Nice winter level vibe.
Everything seems some still, wanderers aren't aware that something quite nasty is lurking around the corner...

Love the dreamy chord progression.  Gives me rainy forest vibes with the hypnotic tick tock of the main synth. Gorgeous lead especially in the lush reverb.  Much needed respite smile

Indeed as sweet as advertised.

very nice. a little wistful but with sprinkles of hope and even wonder

Again terrific work.

Super vibey. Dense. Nice chords. Really like the top notes that are kind of a melody, but not quite, more of a support to the chords...

Great stuff.
