The Necessary Song

By Barney Rubble on March 24, 2024 6:10 pm

Have you ever practiced a song on a guitar that is tuned really funky (DADAAE) that doesn't allow you to play anything else? This guitar part became 'necessary' so I could take a break from playing the same song over and over. I pulled out an old Korg and added the melody. A friend tells me it sounds like a good theme song for the next Bob Newhart show. He might be right, but I don't think that's gonna happen. Maybe 'Not So Young Sheldon'?.....

i love that synth lead, really nice idea for a track. enjoyed this!

Thanks! Them itty bitty keys on that Korg can come in handy. Glad you liked it!

This is peppy and fun. I really like the fast arpeggios over the two chords bouncing back and forth. Has a nice feel to it. Glad you're back, just in time to keep your monthlybeats on track.
