Blue Phineal

This week's beat was a simple, stress-free little track to make. After rediscovering the harps from Garritan Personal Orchestra last week, I decided to layer several harps. Bass is MicroKorg stacked with some waveforms in Ableton. I tried to approach the arrangement differently to how I normally would. I'm not totally sold on it. If I had more time I'd refine the reverb tweak the EQ on the whole thing. My mum has been staying with me, so I wrote and mixed this completely in my headphones. Have a great week everyone!

Love it when that bass slides in unsuspectingly under the harps towards the beginning. Works really well. Lots of open space in the mix providing a lot of depth and separation. Good work on the panning and location of different sounds in the sonic landscape.

Nice contrast between the fluidity of the harps and that solid beat. To coin an oxymoron: intensely mellow!

Lovely harps, dig that bass too. Intensely mellow indeed

I can't disagree with what everyone else has been saying.  The harps are lovely and the bass line is sick.
