This one is in 5/4 and mainly acoustic, two things that I used to do a lot back before I figured out how to use computers to make music. I felt very uncertain making this, it feels so odd to try to use my acoustic skills in a digital space. It would have been way more fun if I had other musicians on hand to play stuff. I was gonna drop a beat in there, but decided to leave it alone and keep it simple cos I have lots of other stuff to do. There some random decisions and errors in there, but oh well, week 24 is done. Have a nice week, everyone.

Love it so much... yes it can be challenging to leave things raw sometimes... you made the right decision! Delicious

This piece is quite beautiful and evocative. It shows your "acoustic" roots in a wonderful way, and it doesn't feel incomplete at all. No missing beat, from a listener's point of view. Fantastic smile

Very pretty.

Beats don't have to come in hard and/or fast, they can take a back seat if you want them to. A gentle tambourine, a triangle once every so often, some claves on a down beat.

Mellow goodness, perfect just as is. ::)

Thanks for your kind comments. Maybe it's the cold southern hemisphere weather, but I'm feeling in the mood for more stripped back acoustic stuff. I think I'll make something in a similar vein this week.

beautiful!
