Drifting away in this one...

A really nice one to zone out to.  It gives me a vision of a voyage across space.  It feels like it gets a little bit ominous towards the end.  Something about that deeper tone coming in creates a nice sense of tension.

a beautiful meditative ambient soundscape. well done.

lovely piece!

Pleased you enjoyed the listen. This came from wanting to build an effects chain in the vein of Frippertronics/the Soma Cosmos. I’ve been using WeeklyBeats as motivation to record more of my improvisations - this one is mostly from a single take, including the moments you mentioned, with a few choices made afterwards to give it a more cohesive structure and feel (to my ears). I think I might even have surprised myself with the moments you mentioned - glad I was recording at the time. smile

Cheers for your thoughts folks. Yes, there is definitely a moment when it shifts into more discordant/ominous territory, but somehow it felt right to go that way when I was performing it. Appreciate all your kind words.
