Synchromystic

I was thinking about trying something different for this week, but due to lack of peace and quiet, I decided to go the opposite direction. This is as old skool as it gets, for now at least. A simple basic sequence (oberheim 2 voice), some white noise effects (Crumar DS-2), decorated with an abundance of mellotron improvisations (flute, choir, cello, brass and the basic strings).

There´s no denying that the mellotron sounds combined, make for a lively orchestration and beautifully archaic sound textures. If you happen to like that sort of thing, that is smile

Another fantastic journey you've created.  The flute leads are beautiful.

As it turns out, I very much like that sort of thing and your compo delivers in spades smile

I do as well. Tribal vibes.

Thanks all! Very nice that you found it pleasant. I personally love the mellotron sounds to bits, they have that strange combination of human and mechanical. The ones I use are a real mellotron sampled note for note, with all the quirks of the original tape sets... I have played a real one too a couple of times and it is really is an love/hate thing that wobbly keybed and the strange "velocity"sensitivity. But it has very original charm...  most of the modern mellotron sample libraries are rather polihed and fine-tuned... and in my opinion lose quite bit of the vibe.

I'm not super fond of the mellotron sounds, but that may be because the samples I've used weren't all that great. This song I am fond of though.

sounds rad!
