Midi September

By Ashen Simian on September 15, 2024 6:58 pm

this week it is a shortish synth pop instrumental. I had no time to make a b- or c-part for it, so it is more like a jam in one key. The most forward sounds are from Ensoniq Fizmo. A weird digital synth, which has its own cult following of sorts. There´s also some Roland V-synth here and there. The rythmic stuff by the usual suspects.

A nice buildup to an uplifting journey.  I remember the Fizmo from some of your past tracks (maybe in previous years?)  It has a memorable name and sound.

the Fizmo! i'm imagining Gizmo playing the Fizmo, which would be VERY CUTE.
ok, excellent track!

watch out for the bright light though  yikes

Thanks, guys!

Yes, the Fizmo is a strange beast and can produce a huge variety of sounds. Here it is in a rather traditional, bright pads and clanky leads mode, but it can produce really out-there sounds too….usually of quite harsh and industrial style. I must do another fizmo-track here sooner or later and display the more quirky nature of it.
