Infusion

A week off, so easier to devote a bit more time to music. Not that it is in any way noticeable when listening to the results, though smile This week I took it very easy and assembled just a simple jam on top of a repetitive sequencer backing. All the stuff on top of it is from a Korg DSS-1, which I just sold. So this track is my farewell to my old Korg and the sounds I programmed for it. The backing is Moog Slim Phatty for the bassline, Roland JV-1080 for that one note sound that appears there regularly. Drums are Roland TR09 and Akai Rhythm Wolf. All other stuff is the DSS. I have other gear now that can do what it does and more, so it was time to move on. Great 80´s synth regardless...

Definitely a nice goodbye to the Korg with a nice relaxing sound world that you've created here.

Well, you sound super chilled out, so maybe that is the result! Those filtered pad swells know what's going on.  Hope they weren't from the DSS-1 or you may need to buy it back smile I like the layers of swells that roll over the sequence. They have gravity. And the occasional emergence of crispier parts add some nice texture. Very much enjoyed!

Au revoir Korg, a nice farewell compo! There's a nice retro cyberpunk feel to this track. The near future doesn't always have to sound gloomy; it can have a more mysterious and pensive aura, like here. I don't know what you had in mind composing but I'm in that head universe listening and it is quite a nice trip smile

It is a lovely drifting sound in the synths and relaxing to hear.

Slow and smooth, just the way infusion's supposed to be.

An amazing groove without drums in the beginning...insistent shuffle and building and then when the actual percs come in it just carries onward into the sky

Thanks guys! Yes, those pads are the DSS-1 as is all here except the basslines and drums. It has nice, slightly lo-fi feeling to it and it cuts through in a mix in a good way. But it was time to let it go, it was too big for its sound smile Like an aircraft carrier in a normal harbour.

Thanks a lot! I am happy if you got into the relaxing vibe... I love to do this kind of a stuff that just kind of hangs in the air. It´s more like a place to visit.

Bye bye Korgy poos! Dope traaaaack! Cool title... 100% Utah!

beautiful sounds
