An Opening in the middle of a Forest

By Ashen Simian on September 8, 2024 8:08 pm

This week I tried to make a drone type, euphoric and epic homage to the beauty of the nature. It is very warm here, much warmer than usual in this time of the year. I know it is an ominous sign of the times to come, but can´t help enjoying it right now. The sun is rather low as it usually is in September and the light is somehow unusual. Normally we do not get too much sunshine here anymore by this date... more like rain and fog before everything freezes into snow and ice in two months time. And by December, the sun makes just a short hop in the horizon if it happens to be a clear day!

But enough of that... here´s some epic ambience inspired by this Indian summer. This one is actually many times longer, but I decided to upload just a short section, because it does not change too much...

That low drone is super cool. Love the birds and subtle strings that gradually come in. Great ambient atmosphere and different textured layers.

Thanks! There’s indeed a lots of layers here. Sometimes they add up to something really athmospheric. This one has just rather predictable stuff for a nature ambient piece. But if it works, it works…

love it, so lush!

I have to echo the love for the low sound.  But the higher pitched synths are great, too.  It does give a feeling of warmth and nature.

very relaxing. Kind of makes me think of some newage stuff but then the worbble in the bottom keeps it interesting in a different way.
