Almost too Late

Very nearly missed this weeks deadline! But I did it....the hurrying perhaps can be heard in the track, especially in the mixing. Well, it is just the improvised base track plus two straight overdubs once each from start to the end, so there was not much to mix anyway...

this is such a nice groove. the static coming in intensifies the unsettling feeling. it felt a bit like going through a big life challenge and then realizing that you got through it and the journey continues

The bassline really grabs you right away.  Then the other sounds coming in add some really interesting textures and the buildup is effective.  There's a mysterious aspect to it, but it also feels triumphant somehow.

I really like the bass too. Well played.

Mix sounds good to me, it is wide, we hear well elements. Nice cinematic vibes.

sounds plucked from some late 80s early 90s detective thriller. the little waves of static sounded really cool in the stereo field.

it has a really strong narrative, but its mysterious at first, like we're following a character, we're not sure if they're good or bad, or what they're up to. then it's a detective solving a case, picking up clues, and culminating in a solve. the static points to some confrontation and the little whoopy siren sounds tell us how it ended.

Glad you finished this right in time. It really is a creepy gentle thriller. Nice.

Very cinematic, very lovely! The tone kind of sounds like it could go in so many directions here, I like that ambiguity.
