I aimed to create a slightly minimal and moody track, with less emphasis on synths and acid sounds than recent works.
When I first made the loop, it sounded much more minimal than the final version because I struggled to find the right elements that worked solo without the other layers.

At a point, I decided to let go of my initial ideas and kept building, which resulted in a longer track.
I think it works well in a dark hall to set the mood and entrance listeners, but I wouldn't play the whole thing.
As Yoesual, I spend a lot of time tweaking stereo placement and panning, and this time, even the kick isn't strictly centred. I believe the subtle movement enhances the listening experience on quality headphones.

Since I finished this track early in the week, I focused mainly on preparing something for next week, which I plan to give proper attention to. If needed, I'll spend more than a week on it.

Anyway, I'm a bit tired, so that's all.
Hope you're all doing well! *hugs*

it's a doozy! I listened on studio monitors, it really shines.

love the panning movements you talk about. I remember in your SQF interview you also talked about making so many little movements and details to keep a track interesting and I heard that here. really nice. keeps u guessing where the things are moving, meanwhile something else is bubbling up and you don't know what to focus on, that makes it such a fresh listen. also love the big bass horn a la something from the new Dune movies

love your beats dude!!! heart

I'm listening in headphones and I can hear the percussion moving around pretty much right from the get-go.  It's definitely fun to play around with the stereo field and you're doing a good job of it here.  It makes the track feel a little more alive somehow.  Like it's breathing and pulsating.

sooo moody. love the panning work. that low growly monster who enters the hall @ 6 mins in....    O.O
nice work, my Friend!
