My first Weekly Beat of 2024 was written and sequenced on the Dirtywave M8 Tracker, including a vocal sample that I originally recorded and manipulated in the Samplr app for iPad, then brought across. While I had planned to make this track all about the M8 hardware's sample mangling capabilities, it ended up just being some added texture rather than the focus, and instead the melody created with M8 instruments carried the day. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy. I expect that a lot of my Weekly Beats will be made on the M8!

Cool! I like how things changed throughout the track, the recurring vocal sounds added a lot of texture. I thought the pitched up elements at the end were really effective too.

Me too! Need to make sure I carve out enough time every week to make them... this 'finishing things' lark is somewhat new.
