Week 7 - Opposite of Heaven

We're in Week 7 and it's feeling like the opposite of heaven. This week was the hardest because I created a track that was more than Intro-Verse-Chorus-Repeat. The song is longer, and there are more parts that may not have been arranged well. The overall mix suffers in volume and energy because of this; I am guessing. I did learn about side chaining instruments to create space if something gets muddied. That information didn't help much with making the Thud/Slam sound more audible, so I know I have other issues. I will try a more minimalist approach next week and work on techniques to improve clarity and volume. The levels are much better here than in other tracks I've submitted, so I got something good out of this week.
