I bought AIR Music's Fabric Collection for the MPC this week. Its pretty fun. This whole track is mode using only Fabric XL sounds and a laptop microphone. Why laptop microphone? That thing gets a nasty distortion on it that I really like. I don't think its capable of recording clean, which is wonderful in the use case. I'd be tempted to use it to record drums (from far away) because of how delightfully trashy it is.
