Stuck in a Jar

Stand back, everyone! I did a track without the m8!

This song was done on a Tascam multi track recorder. I started with a drum track (exported from ez-drummer), and wrote a Bass part over it. Then added some guitar parts. I've never released vocals on a song before, but thought part of weekly beats is to try new things, and figured some lyrics would sound better than adding another instrument. Sorry to you, for having to listen to me sing X-D

Has kind of a Presidents of the United States of America vibe (in my head, at least, ha). I feel like these are lyrics inspired by stuff they'd write coupled with some recent library books I've been reading to my kids about catching bugs, and letting them go.

Lyrics:

munching on a leaf in the yard
sit'n there, without a care in the world
suddenly the sun goes dark
webs hanging in the air everywhere

holes, but I can't breathe
stuck between a stick and a leaf
glass, with nothing to see
bio-dome, nowhere to roam, I'm stuck in a jar

trapped inside a butterfly net
grass is gone, I'm starting to feel upset
dropped into my designer home
a natural habitat, I'm told

(please get me out of here)

holes, but I can't breathe
stuck between a stick and a leaf
glass, with nothing to see
bio-dome, nowhere to roam, I'm stuck in a jar

holes, but I can't breathe
stuck between a stick and a leaf
glass, with nothing to see
bio-dome, nowhere to roam, I'm stuck in a jar

i like all the parts! good vocals and some nice guitar riffs. very nice. favorited!

You have a good voice and the idea for the song is good, too. Sure, you can always improve, but I appreciate every track where people put vocals since that's one area that I struggle with myself! So all in all good effort!

Awesome!

One of my favorites for this week. Lyrics really paint a picture. I really enjoyed the journey of figuring out what the subject mater was before reading about it.

Thank you! I was very proud of this song, considering it went from song title to release in about 2 days, and I've not usually done "live recording"/overdubbing parts like that before.
