Seeker of the Night

By alonemusic on June 20, 2026 6:12 pm

This week felt like a bit of a reset. It's been a few weeks since I wrote a piece with a bit more of a traditional structure. I also got myself a knock off Ebow as a treat to reintroduce a bit of guitar.

Yet, this felt a bit autopilot, I didn't really know where it was heading and there were a number of abandoned routes. I think that shows, this never really stays in lane, and also doesn't quite resolve how I wanted. But, it has moments! Isn't that all things are after a while?

Art? ART

i loved exploring this vast new world!

ART! Still love those

Love the moody/weathered chord progression
Those percussions are really cool too!

love the build up at 1:35 and the drop that follows... again at 2:43, a really hopeful one without being cheesy

A great vibe combination between post rock and mopre synth-focused music

Indeed this feels like I'm on an epic ride as things swirl past and around me. Uplifting chords and love how it opens up with the drums at 2mins and then that sweet synth break that sounds like everything is perfectly harmonious in the world smile Ooof and epic m83 feels with the outro.  Excellent work!

I like the sense of progression and the evolution of this track. Like for instance form 1:40 and from 1:56. There are a lot of dynamics and different soundscapes/landscapes. This is a journey through space.

There's always something magical to me about quick drum beats behind spacey synths. Gave the drums excellent space to breathe. Great listen.

Holy moly what an epic. The smooth pads at the beginning had me let out a big sigh. Effect use is perfect and makes this huge airy space for the synths to dance in. Spectacular!

Oooh! Tell me more about this knock off ebow please...
I really like this glitchy percussion in combination with the soaring guitars!

I can tell you more about this ebow.. its called.. Joyo, it was on amazon for like.. £45 (about half the price of a real ebow... its got a nice harmonic mode that gets the overtone in there.. honestly I can't stop messing about with it, it even works (kinda) on my acoustic
