Let the Water Take This Divided Land

So this week my country votes on if it wants to leave the EU. That is a thing. I think if anyone pays much attention to my twitter, or even song titles you'll probably find that I'm quite against this, along with (according to the polls) about 50% of the nation. This is... ultimately distressing, knowing 50% of people think one thing clearly, and 50% another, or at least forced to choose between two things. In fact, that is the saddest thing. That is what this track is about. A poor nation, undeserving of the 'Great' and at odds with itself.

Lots going on here, it makes for a really cool texture. Not sure if I get a "sad" or "poor" vibe from it. Definitely feels like the track is at odds with itself though. Parts of it sound like it wants to burst with energy, other parts more reserved and timid. The ending leaves me feeling a bit distressed, so you definitely accomplished what you set out to do. Keep up the good work! Hope the election goes in the direction you hope!

I think it's a beautiful piece with an intimate feeling. Makes me thing of Shefield and the urban landscape of Britain.

Here in Spain we're less than a week close to the second Elections, so I could relate to what you say. A lot of people think we need some kind of change in goverment and the other "third" thinks everything's perfect. It hurts to see that it's not a half/half (that's why I use the term "third" because they don't even care, although they'll keep complaining in the local pub just before the footbal match, when they forget everything again)

Beautiful piece!
The guys in brussels have missed its mission and led us into a mess!

Doesn't sound sad, maybe resigned (and quite powerful)…

If Brexit doesn't work out, could Britain rejoin?

Just listening to the last of this week's tracks, and this one really sticks out, it's powerful, anthemic but gentle too.  Love it.
And I'm stunned, still, that we're so divided and that the majority voted to leave. Very concerned about what happens now for my little backwater here in NI.
