This week I decided I wanted to play with the idea of a Blonde Redhead style shoegazy track. I bloody love Blode Redheads album 23, and its stuck with me for the years since I heard it. I also realised I could put the whammy bar back on my guitar and really have fun with those distorted and delayed chords that Blonde Redhead (and other shoegazers) use so effectively. Listening back now I think I burried it way to deep in the mix.. but alas, my headphones are a bit naff when they are bluetoothed, so maybe it will sound better. I also regretted selling my bass guitar several years back, this track really asks for almost a live band approach, but the best I could do was synth bass.. alas.

Finally, finishing early meant I had time to go back and edit out some boring bits, and boy it helped.

anyway, enjoy, I had fun with this one heart

ART:

It works with the synth bass, but you're right in that it would make it so much better. I wonder what crazy stuff will happen with that whammy bar later down the line.

Super cool beats - very busy in the right way, slightly dnb like, while the melody is more classic rock. The artwork is really spectacular, by the way.
