Heartbreak Laundrette

This week I wanted to do a bit ore recording with my guitar. I spent a long time trying to get the acoustic to sound nice.. then went and went ham on the canned strings...

My idea was this was going to be another song with actual singing etc.. but I was genuinely stumped for words and couldn't quite get a melody down, so consider this an instrumental that may one day be a bit more. Also I wanted to do a The National/Matt Beringer impression, but it sounds better in my head than on record.

Enjoy!

I listened to some American Football last week and the structure here reminds me a bit of that. Some sparse lyrics couldn't definitely work there, there's space for them.

The current state of the song is very pleasant regardless. Serious sentimental notes in that chorus, and the acoustic guitar does sound great!

I really love the overall sound of the guitar and all the different parts and layers here. The atmosphere and tension/resolution is really perfect. Good work!

This feels extremely pleasant, almost comforting in a way, but altogether very soft. Loving all these guitar sounds.
