Bound to the Vast

Less warm this week, but brain = cooked.

I wanted to, again, I've said this before, explore some more minimal sounds, which worked for at least the intro. I'd forgotten about the weird vocal 'ah' synths that came with an Ableton pack, and enjoyed bringing those back.

The rest? The rest is some 'classic' elements. I also tried to really cut back the composition, halving a lot of sections. The only bit I wish I could redo is the final section, I don't think I quite resolved the chords/melody. but hey, I was nice to cook up some samples. I was really tempted to just loop the first reversed synth/guitar chords and be done big_smile

Enjoy!

It's almost like you're physically incapable of not going epic! The restraint really works, it lets the full sections bloom. Sending shivers down my spine!

The intro belies how big and epic the tune will become by the end. And I always appreciate a sense of growth and development. And you deliver on that in spades. So well done, good stuff! BTW, I really dig the little crystal bleepies at the end. They're tasty.

Grandiose, I really like the pace and arrangement/spacing, really gives each elements the opportunity to shine through despite the ton of reverb.
Also digging the drums, would have liked them a tad louder perhaps.

immediate swells of nostalgia...makes me feel like i'm back in time seeing how silly i used to be. slowly losing the power and slipping back into reality. stunning stuff smile gives me some infinity shred vibes, especially at the end. lovely lovely

Nicely done.

It really is fun to come back to your work week after week. Love the arrangements.

I like the "breaks" with less elements to then go back to thick and wide.

yes i am moving through space I will triumph, i will live, i will enjoy, i will have peace. thank you

Those chords are soooooo cool! Very nice sound design overall and an epic composition.

Amazing work, grows to absolutely epic proportions.
Super punchy drums too!

soaring. great use of dynamics, and allowing the song room to grow.
that airy synth sound is majestic, and the supporting cast are all their powering the engine
