Banish Ritual

By Aletheia on April 7, 2024 7:59 pm

As I was away from home I didn't have time to do a proper orchestral stuff so I opted for a more textural piece exploring the possibilities of Zero-G's Prometheus. With sung / chant samples as opposed to single notes there's always the risk of hearing similarities with one who uses the same library but blending them in creative ways is sure to help. I also used a couple of melodic instruments from East West Ra.

This sounds eerily beautiful, conjures up another place

This is great. I love these types of desert oasis vibes 🐪 🌵

I was looking at Ra and kinda want to get it

Ra is really nice, but you can tell its age. It has great samples and reasonable number of articulations yet it's not instant gratification (even if some of the demos make it seem like it). You do have to make a number of edits in midi CC and such as well as know how that specific instrument sounds best.

There may be other developers that have really nicer, more playable instruments but as a collection Ra is really worth it (obviously during a sale which is frequently).

Oof, such thick atmosphere. This is immediately mythical, mysterious, and epic. I like what you did with the calling out voice at 1:55. It increases anticipation. This would fit on Arrakis.

+1 Arrakis!

I love the atmosphere here.  The flute (guessing ney flute?) is a really nice touch, it adds a really great "ancient mysteries" feeling.  Also, thanks again for the Zero-G Ethera recommendation.  Best vocal libraries I have ever used.  (*ゝω・)ノThanks!
