This week the carousel has chosen my favourite duo, With the MPC to boot.
The MPC1000 was the sequencer and drum machine, doing a bit of menu diving. I added some reverb and delay to the drums which were samples from a 626. Still getting my head around JJOS however with Arturia Keystep, it is a powerful machine and is rightly placed as the brain of my synth table.
To get that 80s vibe. I went to emulate one of my favourite synths the Juno 106. Some menu diving I had the oscillator bank mimicking that of the Juno, then using the flair of the Minilogue to make the sound its own. Then using the filter cut off, release and the effects section to create all the variance you are hearing.
The Monologue is still one of my favourite synth (maybe bias but it was my first). It is so capable for its size, this round the mono just made a smooth simple saw bass however fiddling with the drive, filter cutoff and release gave so much breath to the bass line.

This has lovely synth sounds! I can imagine hearing vocal part to this!
Very dreamy with those high releases with a refreshing moment of clarity in the middle.
Nice track! Like the 80s vibe and those drum rolls pushing into the large uplifting sections... great big ending! Love all the synth sounds. I have a Roland 626, so all those samples sound familiar. Have not used my Minilogue on track yet this year, but now inspired to get it back out.
Thanks NWSPR. For a 1 day track, it came together really well. One day i hope to add a sample based drum machine to the mix, however with the aturia Drumbrute and MPC1000 stuffed with all samples from mars. I'm good for a long time. Do it! I only got to play the origional Minilogue a little, but the XD is quickly becoming a favourate.

It does scream for some delay/chorus vocals . But i dont sing
, however it is one of the track ideas so I do plan to do some practice and hit record... then probably never again
