Palm Drive - Korg Monologue Chillwave

By Aisjam on July 5, 2020 11:54 am

Feeling that my Korg Monologue needs some attention. I decided to make a track just using it along side Renoise. I spent the day making some cool sounds which I recorded into the DAW to make virtual instruments. This is probably my favourate combo as a lot of mono synths make awesome poly synths in the DAW. I need to do a video on how to get the same feeling of a synth from samples.

To make that tasty chillwave flavour, I slapped a bunch or chorus, delay and reverb around. Then layed out the song an left a part open to send via midi to the Monologue. Lastly I hit record and played it live for you to hear.

That's proper chill, though I think the percs need to chill a little harder.

Nice chillwave! Cool sounds from the Monologue smile

Man this is sweet. I love the chords. Reminds me almost of one of the Mario 64 tunes but with a better perc track heheh (was it Dire Docks maybe?)
