Life Through a Viewing Lens - Film Camera/Moog Grandmother Lofi hip hop

First I got all my cameras together and recorded all the click whirs and snaps they could make, then sampled them into the drum beat, next i made a simple sub bass to accompany it.

Next Grandmother patch i made the envelope control the rate of the LFO which controlled the filter. I like this sound, espessially with pads. This was the first keys section, next I disabled the oscillators and ran my guitar through the same patch to get the other sections.

I would love to get a Rhodes or some other stage piano, however I dont have the space or budget, to substitute  used Arturia Stage V which I feel is closet VST to the real thing. after a bit of tweeking and resampling, this track is good to go.

All those ratchets are very satisfying. Wish there were more of those.

If Animal Crossing had a mechanic where you took pictures and had to take them to the store to get them developed, this would be the music for that place. It's hella cool and chill and I really liked how you incorporated the sounds of the cameras as a part of the music.

Foley percussion ftw! Nice work.

I like this song and your video! It is nice I can see the many layers and how you make them. So cool click sounds of the camera and lovely guitar!

Love the sound of these old cameras, they make a cool beat too. the smallest one had the best sounding rachet sound.

Thats what i wanted for the video is something nice to listen to and something to learn. the guitar is a yamaha Pacifica j112 so nothing fancy, just pumped it through the same grandmother patch to get that awesome warble sound. I need to pull out my bass guitar at some point. that one i built myself big_smile.

super cool!
