Empty Streets - Lonely Ambient w/ Minilogue Monologue Microfreak

By Aisjam on April 12, 2020 3:25 am

The more Covid looms over us, the more people are keeping indoors. Some areas look like a ghost town, the odd passe-rby scrambling of to their homes. Its an eery feeling being outside.

The Monologue bass is synced with the Minilogue sequencer, their time intervals were offset to create a longer pattern and the first run through was played. Then I setup the patch on the Microfreak to overlay on the sound track. When making ambient music, I love playing with polyrhythms so i added that 3 note arpeggio into the mix and see how it blended from the lead to the background sequences.

Definitely a great, haunting atmosphere. Probably not the right one for this situation since you know that every one of the buildings you walk past are just full of people that simply don't get out, so kind of a Lovecraft vibe.
