The Vaccination Proclamation

By agesixracer515 on April 16, 2022 2:28 pm

Don't worry its not a political song or do I care what your stance is on the situation. This is a song I wrote during the pandemic as I am sure everyone has a quarantine song. I wrote this looking at my son on my ukulele. Recorded using audacity two ukuleles and one vocal track then I sent it over to my boy @jokinen who spruced it up giving it the island feel intro which is kind of a nice sarcastic touch, because I am sure that we all wished we didn't lose two years away from everyone and everything.
Here are the lyrics.

The Vaccination Proclamation

Can we stay awake
for just another year?
Faking a smile
for a tear.
Should we go outside
to socialize
with our friends and family?

Tonight we dine in
your eyes are shining
through the light
in the window

Loved the whistle part. Nice melody, really suits the song. Good job. I like the recorded sound on the uke.

Thank you glad you enjoyed it

I feel almost bad for being an introvert. Almost, but the pandemic had everyone stay inside, so that just makes me feel better.

One foot in front of the other and keep living for today cause tomorrow is never promised

i love a good whistle - it is not a skill i've been able to develop but my grandpa was always whistling & now that he's passed i miss that sound - so it makes me heart soar whenever i hear someone whistle a tune smile  works so well with the uke

I am sorry for the loss of your grandfather, but glad the whistle made your heart soar. It’s good to know something that I’ve written helped move at least one person in a positive way. Cheers!
