Naga Returns

Hello everyone! Very happy with how this one turned out. I tried (once again) to do a banging 4/4 track,  incorporating the kind of serpentine bassline I already explored with the "Beheaded Naga" track during week 5, adding a bit more funk and care into transitions. So yeah, February started with a naga and ended with another one.

Recorded live in one take - I had a happy accident with one sequence where I suppressed some steps from the pattern, ending up with a polyrhythmic chaos that I loved. No "Fill" button was harmed during the process of making this track.

Took more time than usual with the "mastering" chain, added a bit more overdrive/compression (maybe too much?).

Anyway, hope you'll enjoy listening to this one as much as I enjoyed making it !!!

Nice! I dig that acid-y bass and that arp at ~1:50, where was the happy accident? There were a few points where I thought it could be.

Thank you very much! The "accident" occurs at 1:08, I unexpectedly shortened the bass pattern, but since it's a 14/16 arp it gives a whole different feel to the pattern!
