Binaural Percolator (binaural brainwave soundscape)

By Aday on January 12, 2014 4:32 pm

I have been experimenting with generating binaural beats for another project I'm working on involving an EEG via an arduino sketch.

The frequencies I've generated here
-14Hz/15Hz (Beta) then dive to 4Hz to 5Hz (Theta) and rise to 8.5Hz (Alpha)
The original binaural wave output is kind of bland on its own, so I've attempted to make that output track into more interesting as an experiment in soundscape... and upload it here.

I tried to extract somthing _musical_ this week but wasn't having much "studio luck", so hopefully my experiment in this soundscape/sounddesign is acceptable...

If your interested, I have a copy of the binarual generative software on my website over at http://bwgen.aday.net.au
Also, if your interested in the Binaural preset it's self -- I've mirrored it here:

Some of these sounds are amazing. Nice work dude.

Dude - you are always doing something amazing!!  I love alpha / theta stuff.  Cool software by the looks of it.  Catch up... soon!

Oh, you guys wink
And I was freaking out about not having a dance/music track or something ready ...

Thanks for your comments smile)
gg weeklybeats !!

Woah. That's hella cool. You definitely didn't disappoint big_smile

Wild!

Ooh very trippy indeed! What made you choose those frequencies for your binaural beats, can I ask?

@drmindflip -- initially I wanted to setup a binaural session where I could drop my self from a high active beta state (very active chaotic mind) to a relaxed state (theta - relaxed, uncluttered mind) (where i could sort of hone in my intentions (or discover them)) and then back to a beta state where I was focused after being in theta.

Interestingly enough, the real back story was, I wanted to try and focus enough to think of a track to write because I wasn't settling in on anything specific. And then I built the initial 10 minute session.

Then just made this track out of all that instead.

this is really neat! I always liked binaural theory stuff
