Vodka On My Jeans (2022 Edit)

By Abludo on September 4, 2022 11:51 pm

I made this song as a weekly beat 2 years ago, and have been since tweaking and editing endlessly. Finally, I have re-recorded, re-mixed and got this track mastered. I really love how it turned out!

To the top of a steep hill
Our evening in a rucksack
Have a drink, get a refill
No need to be looking back
Take a time-out for the view
See whose phone will make it look best
Not much daylight left to lose
So we should enjoy the rest

I've got vodka on my jeans
But that's not bothering me
Not a care in the world
Dancing to tunes I've never heard before
I've got vodka on my jeans
It doesn't bother me it seems
Losing track of the time
A strangely distant happy mind

Let the light fade into the dusk
Build a campfire to stare at
There is nothing that will move us
No need to be holding back
Have your head against the ground
Watch the trees hiding the night sky
The whole world seems to calm down
And I don't think I know why

Both versions are cool; I can see why you kept going with this one.  The 2020 version is like the indie demo, and this is the studio album version.  Sounds really pro, too―I'll bet it took a lot to get from there to here. cool

Thanks!! I see them the same way. It did indeed take lots of work, especially to get away from the way I was used to hearing it.

I'm loving this song even more.
