Two Shelves

Very different this week - had to come back to my bank of old unfinished projects. I think this one deserved to be completed and probably deserves to be added to in the future particularly with vocals.

But this is pretty much entirely inspired by Men I Trust and Mac DeMarco's 'Chamber of Reflection' - just a chill 70s beat and bassline with wavy synths. A recorded drum beat (I no longer have access to drums to record on as I'm in a new house where I've just put up two shelves in "my room" where the studio is).

Ooooooh hell yeah, this is such a groovy vibe. Love that bass line. Favorited for sure. Gives me some America vibes as well. That wiggly synth pad is perfect for this. Love everything about this!!! Wish it was longer! smile

Reminds me of Pink Floyd.

Chill and kick back to this. Love the Wha-Wha-Wha synth trumpety sounds and the non-flange flange with the other synth. Guitar super dreamy here. Not sure if the recorded drum loop is from an old session or a pack, but it fits right into the mix.

Wow ya that bass line is so great, really brings so much to this song for me. The synth slowly bleeding in is awesome. What synth are you using for these? Really reminds me of some of my Arturia hardware synths.

wow, so good! Favorited!

loved this. i agree vocals could be nice. also agree with ENC_ definitely has a more modern pink floyd feel. in the way that let's start here by lil yatchy does. great track, favorited and downloaded

Thanks for the comments! It's actually a recording take from a while ago, not even looped (which is very unusual for me). It's all about covering the snare as much as possible with mousepads/blankets etc aha

Thanks! It's all TAL UNO-SUB-FX, a Juno emulation. My favourite synth for sure
