Far Outside the Place I Once Was

This piano piece sat as a MIDI File, unchanged, since I can only assume one Christmas holiday when I was back from university in 2020. I probably took an hour or two messing around with my piano to craft it, but it sat as a disjointed piece riddled with pauses, and I listened to it many times in this form. 3 and a half years later, here I am with hardly time to give myself the space for something new.
I went to Keeno's first "Live Piano Drum and Bass DJ Set" which was incredible, and got me in the mood for some orchestral drum and bass. So I've spent the last few hours quantising my MIDI recording, and speeding it up to drum and bass tempo to make it into a dnb track. Really happy with the result!
Probably would have added some more guitar layers or melodies if I had the time but WeeklyBeats is all about finding motivation to actually make music. So happy to still be creating.
