Indie’n’B

I wasn't really sure what to call this one. I'm also unsure about what genre I'd call it. Which could mean I've succeeded in my goal to merge Indie and Dnb, my two favourite genres.

I loved playing 174 bpm bass again! I enjoyed making this first as a DnB beat and then because I am so used to the psychedelic rock instrumentation it just sort of flowed into it. Combining a recorded beat over the top has been the most interesting and challenging part of this track.

Could do with some work and some vocals but I'm happy, especially considering I had my 3rd vaccine and it really took it out of me!

That bass tone is fantastic. Groovy work all around.

I love the chilling vibe here, even the tempo is 174 bpm. Excellent rhythm and bass!!!! This is the right track to go on holiday in summer.

Oh that it so nice! The guitar sounds work perfectly in this. Also the extended chords and breezy, jazzy harmony really do the trick.

You say Indie and D'n'B, I'm hearing almost some sort of neo-Motown vibe, especially in the bridges (like 1:09).

I'd say it's the future

I'd simply call it a wonderful combination. It's really nice that you can move between both styles with such grace smile

I still have your early LMMS stuff on my harddrive... and it would be lovely to hear some of your Sub Focus-esque beats and lines from time to time smile
