Frere Jacques Reharmonised Exercise

By Abludo on November 8, 2020 8:00 pm

Back into the uni work! This week we had to reharmonise the nursery rhyme Frere Jacques based on the letters of our names and put it in the style of our choice. I thought this turned out pretty well! Weird chords but that's the point of the exercise - to get us to go in directions that we wouldn't usually go in. so that was cool.

What a clever reworking!

Dormez-vous? Very interesting.

Very interesting - I like that you are using a well know theme that the ear keeps catching but then take it down unexpected alleys.

I don't know the original, but I do know that I like this a lot.

This is so weird and awesome!  Love the snare.  Are you studying music theory?

The chord changes are so awesome.  How do I learn how to do this?
