End of street

By 52beats on April 12, 2026 2:16 pm

An expression of my current emotional state as I composed the song while waiting at the airport in the few hours before my flight. It begins with sadness, followed by excitement, and ultimately concludes where it began. I’m currently leaving for a trip to New York City and will miss my family. The song captures the excitement of the journey, but ultimately ends with the profound longing to return to my loved ones. This marks my first long trip since my son was born. I’m not sure why I chose the title; I simply liked the name.

Great transition between the emotions, feels quite natural, really well done!.

Having to be away from your loved ones can def. be a struggle, but it makes returning them ever so sweet!
You got this! *hugs*

Very cool vibes overall. I love how even when the tempo picks up to the excited state, there is still that slower, sad-sounding string section underneath it. Nice capture of the bustle and wistful longing during travel.
