WEEKLYBEATS IS BACK BABYYYYYY LET'S GOOOOOOOO

starting off strong

good stuff man

The start of an epic journey through the year.

Wow, this is hype! Mix and instrumentation are so nice.

Stellar, and top-notch on every level. The vocal chants in the backdrop are an especially beautiful touch. It's great to get to hear your sound again in a new round of WeeklyBeats. Happy 2022!

The piano leading this along is lovely. The saucy reverb really makes it dreamy too. I don't know how to use that much verb without it sounding like a mess, but it sounds so roomy here.

Beautiful! Great start to an epic journey!

LET'S GO!!! Your airy pianos are still pretty awesome. And some epicness with all the layers. I love it and makes me feel like my own current track is just a cheap draft (which kind of is so this is on me... Lol) very nice. Wish you an happy new year!

Your pianos are always so NICE what the hell. The stereo mix is unreal, so light and fluffy. Love how it all opens up! Straight up vibes

Welcome to weeklybeats, 2haf! Your music sounds really familiar to me, have you checked out hieme's stuff (https://soundcloud.com/hieme)?

Lol jk big_smile love the arrangement and melodies in this. Also that brass is gorgeous. Nice work dude!!!

Crystal clear, beautiful, the composition is wonderful and so emotional too :')

Hieme! I missed your pianos and your crazy compositions. This is so pro - subtle, with a lot of dynamics, beautiful mix. Very cinematic and epic. The very end, with the pretty piano and the music box like gear sound! Very inspiring track to get better at music. I take my hat off to you.

This is incredible

Happy new year! (and thanks for finding my track! I was worried you weren't here!)

Love how you're able to so seamlessly alternate between high tension beats and contemplative melodies with such ease. I've missed this, and I'm looking forward to more throughout the year. smile

My good old hieme! this is another epic track in perfection. the pianos play so dreamy while the whole composition moves from intimate to monumental and back. WOW.

Oh my god how

This is so well produced

New name, same amazing epic tracks.
The strings are amazing on this! What do you use for those?
Good to see you back!

Beautiful production, as always on point! Those majestic horns though heart

Despite the change in username I recognized the music immediately.  You have some of the best sounding pianos ever and you're still killing it with those epic string accompaniments.

I'm pretty confident that the trick is in aggressively high passing the reverb signal so it's not muddy - investing in a nice reverb is 100% worth it too for cleaner sound. Cheers for listening heart

Thanks man! In all, I used OrchestralCompanionStrings, Bohemian Violin, Spitfire BBC Symphony Orchestra as well as Xpand!2 for strings heart

I’m glad I read the comments! New name, same great sound. Glad you’re back! You started with an unreal track.

Didn’t recognize the avatar, once I heard the sublime production and piano I knew exactly who I was listening too, great stuff, glad you are back for another round!

Hell yeah man!  Love this, good to hear your music again.  Same as above ^^ heard your track and knew exactly who it was even with the new name.

This track really makes a splash! Great build-up and release!

love this! Have been listening to last week's entries and my attention perks up whenever this comes on!

would fare excellent as film music

strong arrangement. realistic multi-samples (I presume)

This is brilliant. Nice mix, production, instrumentation, all of it.

So amazing! I see bright orange horizons ahead the ocean and sparkled water sprays to the cymbal crash. Lovely painting of story in your song!

as usual your piano melody absolutely FUCKS
absolutely beautiful

Epic.  Favorited and waiting for more

Wunderbar

This smacks. Midway through when the energy picks up I felt like I was ready for battle.

Thank you all so much for listening and for all your comments heart I really really appreciate it! Love heart

This has the vibes and energy of the track I always imagine I somehow write for the first week of WB. Super well done, emotive as hell, textures are all real tasty, it's good.

Ah, you got me with the new nick, but those pianos ... It is f***ing awesome to have you back!!!

Awesome level of composition and sound design. The whole Miyazaki/epic/drum and bass vibe is quite amazing. You are really on another level. Sounds simply amazing

How much time does the composition phase usually takes you? Do you split your week on choosing/making the sounds and then making the piece, or is it a simultaneous work for you?

Quite an outstanding work, IMHO. Amazing Week One, Sir!

Haha thank you very much, I was happy when this tune came together for week 1 as well. Cheers for listening heart

Thank you so much!! Writing piano parts is where I usually start, and then I build up the track from there - writing, sound design, drums, mixing is all one big jumble after that, until I'm done. I'm never 100% sure how my own tracks end up the way they do, it's always just hundreds of tiny additions and tweaks. Thanks for listening man, and cheers for your lovely comment, you're way too kind to me heart

WOW when those horns hit, I felt it

This is all of us gearing up for the music battle of the year.  Sadly, we know we're going to lose some along the way!  But we move forward courageously!  Great piece.

Excellent!
