ZONE X

Produced entirely on the Dirtywave M8 tracker.

Against all odds (the odds being two SD card failures in a week), we made it by the skin of our teeth.

HUGE shout out to @XC3N for sending me the stems to the preview of their gig recording for me to sample in this track. I heard it the other week and was obsessed with the sounds of the pads and drones used and couldn't wait to smash some bass and breaks on there. I couldn't have done it without the inspo/stems, so this one goes out to them. Go give it a listen here: https://weeklybeats.com/xc3n/music/zone … te-preview

Let me know what y'all think down below! I'm happy to receive any love/constructive criticism you may have to offer.

Dude that was so good, love the track, and visuals are on point, as always

Hell yeah! Downloading this for the radio show haha

Love how you re-contextualized the sample, I didn't even think of using the Lyra for this kind of stuff (oooh except that I've seen this dude do it: https://www.youtube.com/@Bobo you might like it!)

Great jungle beat too, I'm really glad I got to be part of it :3

Yes this hella filthy breaks!

Love the visuals, perfect match for the rowdy synths and bass action going on here.

love those breaks but especially that sorta half time feel around 1:47.  That had me bobbin and weavin to the pulsating bass.  Excellent track!

Thank you! I've noticed your visuals have gotten a lot better recently with VS2, so nice work to you as well!

Glad you liked the track, man! It was so fun to work with, and despite its simplicity, I really enjoy the way the sample works with the gate on it, and how some of the Lyra screams sound in a lower register. Thank you so much for letting me work with that and also letting me hear your set early wink. We'll have to work together again sometime.

Thank you! I've been working on making the visuals more interesting, so I'm glad you like them.

I actually think that's one of my favourite parts, too. The little "slice" and then the half-time drop is so fun, right? Thank you!!
