Sunshine (instrumental)

Sorry I haven't been listening and commenting in the past week or so. I had some minor surgery (nothing serious!) that ended up kinda destroying my energy and all I wanted to do was rest on the couch and play Hexen. Great game.

However, a couple of days ago I had a dream about playing a version of this track at an illegal warehouse rave at an abandoned Bunnings. So I got a bit of motivation to make some music again. It turned out almost as good as the dream version big_smile it's still a bit of a WIP as some of the crashes and transitions are a bit simple.. but it's getting there.

Uploaded here as an instrumental because it was built around a sample from a well-known early 90s pop dance hit, but it sounds pretty incomplete as an instrumental so have a listen to the vocal version here.

Direct render from M8, no additional processing.

that's admirable, never been able to recreate any music from a dream big_smile
and damn this is a banger, would totally dig this in a rave. totally got that 90s dnb and prodigyesque feels.

such huge 90s & early 2000s vibes - immaculate.

edit - holy shit that 4:30 mark mixup!!! hot DAMN

Hot diggity shit, this sounds amazing!!! Said rave sounds like it would be a pretty rad place to be, hahahaha...

Yeah, I'm completely blown away that you were able to recreate something you DREAMED about. I can barely put on paper stuff I was whistling and humming two seconds ago.

Anyways, awesome work here!!!

Dig those wraith-like high synths.  The drums and bass synth are punchy as hell!  Cool mid break.  I like how it just hangs there with that bass pad and then rebounds with more intensity.  Nice work, and wishing you a speedy recovery.

This track is sick! But of a slow burner but really rewarding to stick with it. Lots of emotion and expression here. Loved it

The sound design in this is phenomenal. Every day there is a track that gets me back into the M8 trying to be as good as possible, today it is this one!

This song is a journey
