just finished up recording a demo for my new band, for which we still don't have a name (hence it being here under my 'home taping association' banner).  this is the first of 4 songs.  don't think i've ever recorded a 'full band' song this short before but in the essence of punk rock we wanted to get in and out as quick as possible.  the original version had a my bloody valentine 'glide guitar' riff, courtesy of an alesis nanoverb 'nonlinear patch'.  the line is still there but buried a little bit.  early mixes of the song had rather epic handclaps.  i was forced to reduce them a little; nevermind.

really happy with the drum sound.  was the first time recording in my present studio space, which is completely untreated at the moment.  bearing that in mind, i'm pretty content.

guitars were all done in guitar rig, which worked away at my conscience a bit when i have a nice ac 30 sitting in my room.  but it seems to be the right choice for the tracks so i'm willing to let it slide.

all in all, the experience has reminded me how much i miss being in a band that practises each week!

Great! Everything blends together perfectly.

nice little lo-fi recording, I like it a lot. really like the nice open sound when the nanoverb comes in.

sounds great, reminds me a bit of pale saints
