Truthdealer - Webworld pt. 2

By george bowles on July 20, 2014 6:13 pm

Truthdealer is my solo guitar project that is usually pretty experimental. inspired by Justin Broadrick's FINAL guitar drone project and various solo avant guitar practitioners (Page Hamilton had a pretty wild guitar noise album collaboration with Caspar Brotzmann I think it was, had a zulu mask on the cover, also an inspiration).

Anyway, the first Webworld was classical guitar through a ton of vst fx so you could not really tell what it was so much unless you knew. This one also has a lot of vst fx, but the guitar is audible, which was my original intent. Also, I used my fried out DL4 delay pedal and the wonderful ElectroHarmonix FREEZE pedal (get one!).

The classical is an acoustic electric, and it just had the electric part going through my pedals into the board. VST fx were applied post recording. I still however got a bunch of pops and clicks in my original recording, which was disappointing. I basically tried to make them fit in and sound part of the piece in the mixing process. There's a lot going on here, enjoy!

Yes, Fennesz, river of sand. Not bothered by the clicks and pops (in fact, if you hadn't mentioned them, I probably wouldn't have noticed. Faved.

Surprising twists during this trip. I like how you added noisy stuff to make the clicks sound "natural". Nice ending.

yeah vinpous asked for another for pt. 1, and I delivered... so you'll get pt. 3!

Sounds wonderful, if you hadn't mentioned it I would have thought that the pops and clicks were intentional.
Looking forward to pt. 3!

Haha... cool.  smile
