Spring Sprang Sprung

By Chris Dotson on April 13, 2014 9:19 pm

This track is based off a couple old recordings I had laying around the archives.

The first is a slightly processed recording of footsteps at an art museum. My local one has very creaky floors. The second is a set of piano sounds that were run through granular synthesis processing using the CsGrain app and were processed a bit more to get them nice and stretched out. Everything was layered in Ableton and a little post-processing was done there as well.

I tried to keep this pretty quiet and not overload everything for a change.

Beautiful work. I love the gradual move from the obvious footsteps sound into the stretched piano sound.

Excellent atmosphere. Really enjoyed this!

Nice sound design

DSP in full effect.  And to good effect!

Very nice track! A great use of your old recordings.
