microtonalshifter test #1 (phasing)

This week's submission features a new polyphonic microtonal synth I'm designing.

The synth allows you to detune individual notes to achieve experimental tunings and drones, but also allows you to change all of the note tunings at once on a more global/macro level, which leads to the odd ability to shift in and out of two different tunings. In the first minute or so you can hear me fiddling with tuning the individual notes, and then I begin to phase between the two tunings. You can discover some really bizarre in-between tunings using this method.

Towards the end (last 30 seconds) I blend in the 0-coast for good measure (since my goal for WB this year was to incorporate the 0-coast in every track). ;-)

I have been dreaming of building something like this for, oh I dunno, 10 years?...pretty stoked with progress so far!

smile DOES THIS MEAN WE GET TO PLAY STREET FIGHTER NOW?  smile

When you have the long decay, and you detune, the echo is different than the note and it sounds soooooooo amazing!

1:36 gets that THX multiple notes coming together thing and it is incredible.  Um, so when can I buy this?  Can I actually bundle this with the Chromawheel and get a shipping discount?  smile  ChromaSynth?  Any pictures???

This is crazy. Makes me dizzy.sacsncQW09WQIncö-yxŒ
