chromacoast (LT5)

I miss polyphony. This time around I used the chromawheel to trigger a chord progression live -- but recording two outputs at once, one with sampled piano chord sounds and the other recording 0-coast arpeggios. The length of time I hold down a chord controls how long the arp cycles, and since the rate isn't locked to anything sometimes the arp stops at different chord tones. Wish I could have recorded it a bit cleaner, but I tried to embrace the hiss

Yeah, this is the OG chiptune strategy of making chords - ludicrous speed arpeggios!

I actually don't really hear any/much hiss - it more sounds like part of the reverb.

I love your rhythm here.  it is pulsin' and bouncin' - reminds me of Radiohead's "Pyramid Song" piano rhythm which is on beat, then off beat, then back to on.  I could hear this being developed into a big track with big bass and some guitar riffs and some live drums

Cool "wait, is the song over?" final chord smile

nice to listen to. you have chosen a pragmatic title. smile
