Would love to know how the drums were mic'd up.
Just a Zoom H1 (sort of a tiny XY condensor pair) positioned 8 feet in front of the kit. Played medium-quiet and then cranked up the compression
Wow, the drum sound is incredible. I got surprising results with the Zoom H1 on guitar, so maybe I need to try this. I also haven't busted out the AT822 in forevvvver RIP MiniDisc Field Recordings
